Fiverr is a website where people buy and sell services and goods for $5 (3.58 EURO). That's it. Five bucks. Gigswood operates on the same principle, but has a selection of services to choose from for either $4, $9, or $19 (2.86, 6.44, or 13.59 EURO). Gigswood's wider range of prices effectively result in a wider range of offered services.
For those on a tight budget, both companies offer fantastic savings over prices people might find in their own local market. It's hard to imagine finding a graphic artist that will design a logo for a business for under $20 (14 EURO), or people who will send out thousands of promotional advertisements.
Generally the same services seem to be offered on both sites. However, buyers will save more if they use Gigswood for some of the lower end services, and have more options to choose from on the higher end.
It is not only astonishing, but actually fun to see what services people offer for such a relatively small amount. Of course, anything considered illegal or offensive is not allowed on either site, and user accounts will be blocked permanently and immediately for this type of behavior.
These sites include gift ideas, graphics, writing, music, tips, and advice. Gigswood has more filters on their site, so people can sort by price, features, highest-rated, and recently-added. They also seem to have a more organized site as far as listing categories in alphabetical order.
Not only do these companies provide services, they also provide an area for people looking for certain services they would like to purchase. Therefore, potential buyers can suggest services they need, and will most likely find somebody who is capable and willing to perform that service.
Both companies have free registration for both buyers and sellers, and people are required to register to use any services on the site. Both companies also protect the identities of buyers and sellers. All transactions are required to go through the servicing website.
Fiverr charges the seller $1 (0.72 EURO) per transaction and pays within 48 hours of job completion. Gigswood, on the other hand, only charges a fraction of each transaction much lower than 20%, and sellers get paid immediately upon job completion.
Both companies use a rating system to rate their sellers on feedback from buyers. These ratings are based on number of canceled orders and late deliveries. Some other rules and regulations apply to both buyers and sellers with the consequences of getting a blocked account if violated.
Gigswood has implemented several advantages to both buyers and sellers over Fiverr. The lowest price they offer is cheaper, the percent they take is less, and there is the chance of better quality and more services included for a little more money.
